Hey, I’m Ella 🤍
Originally from England, but now calling Christchurch home. Before settling down here, I spent years travelling around the world, and honestly, it changed me in the best way. One of the wildest and most unforgettable things I’ve ever done was work with lions in Africa, a proper pinch me moment for an animal lover like me.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by cats, became a vet nurse before photography found me, and now have two husky boys who were basically my first babies. Sometimes life takes you down paths you never expected, but I truly believe every part of my journey led me here.
Family means absolutely everything to me. Mine are still back in England, and being so far away is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I think that’s one of the reasons photography means so much to me too. Photos become part of our story, something to hold onto when time moves too fast. I’m a deeply nostalgic person. I’m constantly looking back at photos of my girls when they were tiny, wishing I could freeze those little moments for just a bit longer.

I never had newborn photos taken with my own babies, and it’s something I genuinely regret. So I know how important these memories become later on, especially during the blur of motherhood when everything changes so quickly.
Outside of photography, I’m probably chasing sunsets with my girls, watching planes fly overhead (Emirates will always have my heart), listening to 90’s music, crying at something emotional for absolutely no reason, or rewatching a romantic comedy. I love a good thriller too… but horror? Absolutely not. I’m way too jumpy for that.
Photography for me is all about connection, emotion and preserving the beautiful in-between moments that pass far too quickly. As a mum myself, I know how fast it all goes, and I pour my heart into creating images that help you remember the tiniest details.
My sessions are relaxed, child- led and filled with genuine connection, but also we'll have fun, share a laugh and keep things light - hearted. There's no pressure to pose or be perfect. Just you, your people and the quiet magic that already exists between you.
